The kitchen facilities were outstanding with a microwave, oven, and even a dishwasher that worked like a charm. I felt like a master chef in my own private restaurant, whipping up delicious meals with ease.

    Lack of parking.

We had a fantastic stay at this unique and beautifully restored house. It was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The location within the fort was quiet and walkable to everything in the city. The staff, including the house manager, were super nice and always available to help. The guided tour of the fort was informative and added to the historical charm of our stay.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Felt cared for, nothing to complain about.

Location was superb, central with everything on your doorstep. The property had everything needed for a self-catering break and was authentic, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The courtyard garden was a lovely place to relax. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would book again in the future. The house manager was great and very responsive.

There was construction work going on nearby which disturbed our sleep for two days. , there was a lack of proper door-stops, causing doors to slam.

During our stay at this charming and beautifully decorated property, we truly experienced the magic of Elizabeth Fort. It provided the perfect backdrop for an authentic and comfortable self-catering break. The location was superb, with everything we needed right on our doorstep. We particularly enjoyed exploring the fort's walls and visiting the women's history element. The attention to detail in the house was evident, with a lovely wood burner and a comfortable living room. The house manager, Geraldine, was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

    Can't think of anything 😄.

Our recent stay at Elizabeth Fort in Cork was truly magical. Stepping inside the historic fort felt like stepping back in time. The charm and authenticity of the cottage was evident down to every detail, from the period furniture to the beautiful courtyard garden. We loved having the fort to ourselves in the evenings, exploring the walls and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The location was excellent, with everything we needed just a short walk away, including shops, bars, and the city center. We also appreciated the warm and cozy atmosphere of the house, especially with the small stove in the front room. Liz, our contact person, was amazing - so friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the rooms were incredibly spacious. The hotel facilities were top-notch, including a great pool and a convenient airport shuttle service. The location, although slightly away from the main center of the city, was still easily accessible from all the major business houses. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and provided us with a cordial response and excellent service. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast spread that was offered. we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay.

    Nothing for us.

We got great value for our money at the beautifully restored and comfortable house within Elizabeth Fort. The location was perfect for a quiet stay within walking distance to all the attractions in Cork. Liz, our host, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.

The breakfast selection could have been better, but there were plenty of great options within a short walk from the hotel.

The location inside the original fort was amazing! Close to shops, bars, and the city center. The house was warm, clean, and had all we needed. Liz, our contact person, was friendly and helpful. The small stove in the front room added a beautiful touch. The pubs, fish & chips, and market right in front were convenient. All the pubs and tourist attractions were within walking distance. The house was spacious, charming, and had comfortable beds and a shower. The view from the second floor and even the toilet was stunning. Having the fort to ourselves after 5pm with a big key was thrilling. The cottage was furnished with period details and modern amenities. Breakfast in the little outside area was a lovely experience. The bar outside the main gates added to the atmosphere. Geraldine, the local house manager, and the fort staff were friendly and helpful. The proximity to central Cork made it easy to explore.

Everything was perfect, felt very welcomed with nothing to complain about.

We stayed at Elizabeth Fort in Cork for a few nights and it was a great experience. The fort itself was an amazing location, with the whole place to ourselves after 5pm. Using the big key to come and go through the main gate added to the thrill of staying in such a unique place. The cottage was charmingly furnished with period furniture and had all the modern amenities we needed. We enjoyed having breakfast in the little outside area and the atmospheric bar just outside the main gates. The local house manager, Geraldine, was always available and the staff at the fort were very friendly. Plus, the fort's proximity to the central area of Cork made it convenient for exploring. All in all, a wonderful stay!

    We do recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed the unique experience of staying in a historic property with an antique style and delicate furniture. The comfortable beds provided a great night's sleep. the location was a major selling point, as it was centrally located and close to various services.

There were several downsides to our stay. First, there was no parking available, requiring us to use 2 hourly parking discs or park in a municipal car park.
